FROM MY POINT OF VIEW
It is my feeling that the world has run amuck, if even ever it has experienced complete serenity; however I do believe that life was not meant to be lived in this chaotic way. I would love to see the world in unison as we all try and figure this life thing out together, but first, before I tackle the world's problems, I want to start off with this country's.
Here in America, we live in a land of great freedoms and rights of expression, but as a Black person living here these so-called rights can be very limiting, and this has been the case since the country's inception. It's difficult to sit back and watch the same injustices taking place as a result of America's nonattention to slavery's devastating effects that plague our communities, generation after generation. Where race relations in this country are concerned, we have seen better days, but this is my attempt to be a part of a solution to get back to these better days. This will be done by talking about these plaguing issues that adversely affect the Black community today.
America, it's time that we have "the talk". It seems that talking about anything related to slavery is taboo, but it makes absolutely no sense to me. We know from the study of Psychology that to fix a problem, the problem must first be identified. It may take generations to then wash out the ideology responsible for the ongoing disparities relative to race in this country, but let us at least attempt to clean up race relations, because we all deserve better.
This is my attempt!
I welcome you to chime in with your own opinions and feedback in a constructive manner, although I know there are some very unhappy and upset people in this world. To that I say, God is good; life is good. Carry on!!!

Meet J. Ross: The woman behind the realness
Several years ago, I decided to log all of the random to complex thoughts that come to my mind throughout any given day. These thoughts are what I’ve come to call my memoir. Amidst all of my many thoughts that I’ve collected thus far, I have a tendency to think about the journey of my people, from Africa to the Americas.
